Godina je 𝟭𝟰𝟯𝟴. Dubrovnik je već osamdeset godina 𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗻𝗶 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱 moćne Dubrovačke 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲.
Točno te godine dobiva jedan od 𝗻𝗮𝗷𝗻𝗮𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗶𝗷𝗶𝗵 gradskih sustava javne 𝘃𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗸𝗿𝗯𝗲 u Europi.
Sustav koji će mnogi veliki europski gradovi, poput Londona, Beča pa čak i Zagreba, dobiti tek 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗷𝗲ć𝗶𝗺𝗮 kasnije.

Dok su se europske metropole još mučile s bunarima, kantama i sumnjivom vodom, stanovnici ovog hrvatskog grada jednostavno bi otvorili slavinu. 🤭

Grad je sagradio vodovod dug gotovo 12 kilometara, a pitka voda iz njega i danas teče na fontanama.🤩

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 🌬️
What you hear is 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗮!
It's the 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 cold and dry 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗱 of the Adriatic. It blows from the northeast and can easily reach gusts of 𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗸𝗺/𝗵 (60+ mph), while in some exposed areas along the Croatian coast it can be even stronger.
It may be 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 for visitors, bit sometimes it is for locals as well, but it also brings 𝗰𝗿𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹-𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 skies and some of the most 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 views you'll ever see.

𝗗𝘂𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗻𝗶𝗸, 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟯 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 ☀️⛈️
One moment: 𝘀𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 over the Old Town, 𝗵𝗼𝘁 weather, everyone in 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 and just 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 the day.
Three hours later… 𝗿𝘂𝗻 for cover 😅

𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 💡
At the end of the stone breakwater of 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮, the small red lighthouse quietly watches over the sea and 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.
Beneath the vast blue 𝘀𝗸𝘆, this red lighthouse has stood there for more than a 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝘆, acting as a 𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 of boats and ships against the forces of nature 🌊
