Otkrivanje labinske rudarske baštine kroz MEMORY ESCAPE ⛏️

Koje nam priče labinska rudarska baština može ispričati o radu i svakodnevnom životu tijekom fašističkog razdoblja?

Putem projekta MEMORY ESCAPE mladi će istraživati ​​povijest i sjećanja labinske rudarske zajednice kroz „figitalnu” (spoj fizičkog i digitalnog) igru ​​tipa "escape room", koja objedinjuje povijesnu baštinu, pripovijedanje i digitalne alate.

🏭 Pijacal i Podlabin – rudarski i industrijski krajolik koji je oblikovao grad i živote generacija radnika.

Through MEMORY ESCAPE, young people will explore the history and memory of Labin’s mining community through a phygital escape room combining historical heritage, storytelling and digital tools.

📜 Miners’ working lives – employment records, production documents and other historical sources reveal the conditions and organisation of work in the mines.

These places, stories and historical sources are now being transformed into digital assets and interactive challenges for the MEMORY ESCAPE experience in Labin.

Od zajedničkog dizajna do digitalnih sadržaja: MEMORY ESCAPE poprima oblik! 🎮🏛️

MEMORY ESCAPE je projekt Interreg Italija–Hrvatska koji razvija phygital escape room iskustva s ciljem uključivanja mladih u istraživanje i interpretaciju disonantne baštine i sjećanja.

Nakon aktivnosti zajedničkog dizajna u Bertinoru 🇮🇹 i Labinu 🇭🇷, povijesni izvori, lokalne priče i kulturna baština sada se pretvaraju u digitalne i interaktivne sadržaje za dva iskustva.

Od društvenog života i slobodnog vremena u Bertinoru do rudarske baštine Labina, dvije pilot lokacije donose različite perspektive koje se povezuju kroz zajedničko prekogranično iskustvo.

📂 Od povijesnog istraživanja do digitalnih sadržaja: MEMORY ESCAPE napravio je još jedan korak naprijed!

Tim ATRIUM-a nedavno se sastao s prof. Patrizijom Battilani sa Sveučilišta u Bologni kako bi radio na povijesnim materijalima vezanima uz Bertinoro i njihovoj integraciji u Digitalnu knjižnicu sadržaja (Digital Asset Library) projekta MEMORY ESCAPE.

📜 Povijesni dokumenti, fotografije i drugi materijali povezani s pričama i mjestima baštine koja se istražuju kroz escape room u Bertinoru trenutačno se pregledavaju i organiziraju kako bi podržali razvoj phygital iskustva.

Susret je također bio prilika za razgovor o tome kako Digitalna knjižnica sadržaja može strukturirati i povezati resurse razvijene u okviru projekta, objedinjujući povijesne i digitalne materijale na kojima se temelje MEMORY ESCAPE iskustva u Bertinoru 🇮🇹 i Labinu 🇭🇷.

The ATRIUM team recently met with Prof. Patrizia Battilani from the University of Bologna to work on the historical assets related to Bertinoro and their integration into the MEMORY ESCAPE Digital Asset Library.

📜 Historical documents, photographs and other materials connected to the stories and heritage sites explored through the Bertinoro escape room are being reviewed and organised to support the development of the phygital experience.

The meeting was also an opportunity to discuss how the Digital Asset Library can structure and connect the resources developed within the project, bringing together the historical and digital materials behind the MEMORY ESCAPE experiences in Bertinoro 🇮🇹 and Labin 🇭🇷.

🏛️ Tri mjesta. Tri priče. Jedno pitanje – kako danas čitamo svoju baštinu?

🌿 Fratta Terme u Bertinoru svjedoče o razvoju termalnog turizma i arhitekture 1930-ih. Monumentalni kompleks Grand Hotela spaja racionalističku arhitekturu s motivima koji prizivaju rimsku prošlost, dok je razvoj termi bio povezan i s društvenim i političkim programima fašističkog režima.

🏛️ Nedaleko od njih nalazi se Casa del Fascio – nekadašnja zgrada fašističke stranke koja je i danas jasan podsjetnik na ideologiju i propagandu tog razdoblja. Njezin balkon, primjerice, nije bio samo arhitektonski element, već prostor namijenjen javnom obraćanju i simboličnom predstavljanju moći režima.

🤝 A u središtu Bertinora nalazi se Colonna dell’Ospitalità, simbol potpuno drugačije priče – stoljetne tradicije gostoprimstva. Dvanaest prstenova na stupu predstavljalo je plemićke obitelji koje su prihvaćale putnike, a tradicija se i danas obilježava kroz Rito dell’Ospitalità.

🔎 Upravo u tim kontrastima možemo pronaći disonantnu baštinu – baštinu koja ne govori jednom jedinom pričom. Ona istovremeno može govoriti o napretku i propagandi, zajedništvu i moći, ponosu i teškim poglavljima prošlosti.

💡 MEMORY ESCAPE projekt želi učiniti vidljivima upravo takve slojeve. Kroz istraživanje, lokalne priče i digitalne alate, projekt pretvara odabrane lokalitete u prostor za pitanja, dijalog i nova iskustva baštine – posebno za mlade.

Jer baština nije samo ono što nasljeđujemo.
Baština je i ono što odlučujemo pamtiti, propitivati i prenijeti dalje. 🌍

🏛️ Three places. Three stories. One question – how do we read our heritage today?

🌿 Fratta Terme in Bertinoro bears witness to the development of thermal tourism and architecture in the 1930s. The monumental Grand Hotel complex combines Rationalist architecture with motifs evoking the Roman past, while the development of the thermal baths was also connected to the social and political programmes of the Fascist regime.

🏛️ Nearby stands Casa del Fascio – the former headquarters of the Fascist Party and a clear reminder of the ideology and propaganda of that period. Its balcony, for example, was not merely an architectural feature, but a space intended for public speeches and the symbolic display of the regime’s power.

🤝 In the centre of Bertinoro, we find the Colonna dell’Ospitalità, a symbol of a completely different story – a centuries-old tradition of hospitality. The twelve rings on the column represented noble families who welcomed travellers, and the tradition is still celebrated today through the Rito dell’Ospitalità.

🔎 It is precisely in these contrasts that we can find dissonant heritage – heritage that does not tell a single story. It can speak simultaneously of progress and propaganda, community and power, pride and difficult chapters of the past.

💡 The MEMORY ESCAPE project aims to make these layers visible. Through research, local stories and digital tools, the project transforms selected heritage sites into spaces for questions, dialogue and new heritage experiences – especially for young people.

Because heritage is not only what we inherit.
Heritage is also what we choose to remember, question and pass on. 🌍

📍 Kroz projekt MEMORY ESCAPE, Labin i Bertinoro ponovno otkrivaju odabrane lokalitete kulturne baštine i priče koje su s njima povezane. Povijesna istraživanja i lokalna sjećanja pretvaraju se u interaktivna iskustva sobe za bijeg koja mladima omogućuje da se s disonantnom baštinom upoznaju i povežu na nove, zanimljive načine.

🌿 S velikim zadovoljstvom obavještavamo o početku našeg projekta “ZELENI KORACI DUGOPOLJA”! 🌿

💚 Kroz niz praktičnih i kreativnih aktivnosti djeca, učenici OŠ Dugopolje će učiti kako svojim svakodnevnim navikama mogu doprinijeti očuvanju prirode i stvaranju održivije budućnosti.

Projekt obuhvaća:

🤝Jučer su partneri projekta MEMORY ESCAPE održali online sastanak na kojem su razgovarali o sljedećim koracima u provedbi projekta.

Glavna tema sastanka bila je daljnji razvoj phygital escape room iskustava koja će se razvijati u Labinu i Bertinoru, s posebnim naglaskom na planiranje nadolazećih aktivnosti i koordinaciju partnera.

🤝 Yesterday, the MEMORY ESCAPE project partners held an online meeting to discuss the next steps in the project's implementation.

The main focus of the meeting was the further development of the phygital escape room experiences that will be created in Labin and Bertinoro, with particular emphasis on planning upcoming activities and coordinating the work of the project partners.

The partners also discussed the technical specifications for the development of the Digital Asset Library, a digital repository that will bring together and organise the project's digital materials while supporting the creation of interactive and educational content.

Through continuous collaboration and knowledge exchange, the project partners are working together to develop innovative tools that will engage young people with dissonant heritage through digital technologies, storytelling, and gamification.
