Pošip is Dalmatia's main white.
Native to the island of Korčula and now grown across Dalmatia, it's a variety increasingly popular among wine producers and consumers, due to its expressive character.
Ours comes from virgin, limestone soils in Komarna, Croatia's only fully organic wine region. The rocks were never touched by conventional agriculture; we planted our vines where there used to be wild Mediterranean scrubland and stone. We work it organically, from pruning to harvest, and every grape is our own, grown on our southern slopes above the sea.
The wine that comes from this: ripe yellow fruit, wildflowers, a hint of citrus. Dry, creamy on the palate, with a touch of salinity from the limestone below. Made for fresh fish and long conversations.
And tomorrow night, we begin the 2026 harvest. Picked after dark, when grapes are cool from the night air, brought to the winery before sunrise. Stay tuned for the most exciting time of the year!
