We are pleased to welcome two speakers whose careers have been dedicated to bridging the gap between scientific discovery, technology, and healthcare transformation.

🎙️ 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗻 is a renowned healthcare strategist, innovator, and founder of Transform.Health, a company helping governments, healthcare institutions, and corporations navigate the intersection of innovation, technology and healthcare strategy.

With more than three decades of experience in healthcare innovation, Lucien has worked across ambulance services, academic medicine, healthcare management, consulting and industry. He served as the founding director of the REshape & Innovation Center at Radboud University Medical Center and founded the National Health(care) Innovation School. Today, he is widely recognized for his work on digital transformation, patient empowerment, artificial intelligence, and the future of healthcare.

Known for his thought-provoking and pragmatic approach, Lucien challenges audiences to look beyond the hype and focus on how emerging technologies can create meaningful change while ensuring that the human remains at the centre of healthcare.

🎙️ 𝗩𝗲𝘀𝗻𝗮 𝗚𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗰́ is an experienced scientist and innovation manager with more than 30 years of experience spanning academia, the pharmaceutical industry and technology transfer.

Throughout her career, she has held leadership positions at PLIVA, GlaxoSmithKline, and Galapagos, where she led research teams, managed international projects, and contributed to the development of new drug candidates and research infrastructure.

Today, at the University of Zagreb, she focuses on technology transfer, innovation support, and strengthening collaboration between academia and industry. Through mentoring, strategic networking, and stakeholder engagement, she helps researchers, startups, and innovation teams transform scientific ideas into commercially viable healthcare solutions with lasting societal impact.

🎙️ Prof. Tony Young, National Clinical Director for Innovation at NHS England and Founder of the Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, is a practising NHS consultant urological surgeon, Associate Medical Director at Mid and South Essex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Director of Medical Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Anglia Ruskin University. He is also the founder of four Med-Tech start-ups.

Since becoming the first National Clinical Lead for Innovation for the NHS in 2014, he has played a key role in driving the adoption of proven innovations across the UK healthcare system, supporting economic growth through innovation, and positioning the NHS as a global leader in medical innovation. In 2015, he founded the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, now the world’s largest entrepreneurial workforce development programme in healthcare and life sciences, which has supported over £1bn in investment and the creation of more than 500 life science companies. He was awarded an OBE in 2019 for services to clinical leadership.

🎙️ Alongside him, we are honoured to welcome Prof. Renata Pecotić, Dean of the University of Split School of Medicine. Her work focuses on advancing medical education and strengthening the link between research, clinical practice, and innovation. She contributes to the development of modern interdisciplinary approaches in medicine and serves as Vice-Director of the Split Sleep Medicine Centre, as well as Adjunct Clinical Professor of Medicine at Penn State University College of Medicine.

Together, they represent the full spectrum of health innovation, from system-level transformation and entrepreneurship, to academic leadership and education 👏

🎙️ Jovan Stevović, PhD, is the Co-Founder and CEO of Chino.io, a company combining legal and technological expertise to help digital health companies solve data protection and security challenges. With more than a decade of experience in health IT, his research at the University of Trento focused on secure and legally compliant health data sharing - work that directly led to the creation of Chino.io. Today, the company supports digital health innovators across Europe and the US.

🎙️Joining him is Marko Loparić, MD-PhD, CMO, Head of Digital Health, Co-Founder and Co-Inventor at Artidis AG. with over 15 years of experience.

Marko Loparić has worked across nanotechnology, oncology, orthopedics, integrative diagnostics, and mixed reality platforms in clinical practice. Through Artidis AG, he is helping shape the future of rapid tissue analysis, therapy optimization, and precision cancer care.

🎙️ Jordi Serrano Pons is a global digital health pioneer, family physician, and founder of innovative ventures including UniversalDoctor, UhDa Health and P8Health.

His work focuses on Global Health and Planetary Health, where technology, prevention and sustainability come together. He has collaborated with governments and international organisations worldwide, and from 2013 to 2019 served as a consultant for the World Health Organization, helping shape new models of care and innovation. He is also the author of Towards the Future of Hospitals.

🎙️ Joanna Broy is an innovation and business development expert with more than 10 years of experience across life sciences, healthcare and entrepreneurship.

At EIT Health, she leads regional initiatives across Central and Eastern Europe, supporting over 40 strategic partners and driving programmes focused on innovation, education and startup growth. We’re proud to welcome Ana Brito and Dr. Jayden Khakurel, two experts working at the intersection of healthcare, innovation, regulation, data and AI 🗣️

🎙️ Ana Brito holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and a PhD in Health Sciences from the University of Coimbra. Throughout her career, she has built extensive experience in the Medical Devices sector, holding roles such as Quality Manager, Project Manager and Regulatory Affairs Manager.

Her expertise includes supporting the certification of medical devices, including AI-powered software as a medical device, in line with EU MDR regulation, as well as certification pathways in the United States under FDA frameworks.

Ana is also a lecturer in postgraduate programmes focused on Medical Devices, Clinical Research and Artificial Intelligence in Health. She currently serves as Coordinator of the Medical Devices Regulatory Support Unit at Instituto Pedro Nunes.

🎙️ Dr. Jayden Khakurel is Head of Data and AI Strategy at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Tartu, where he leads the integration of advanced analytics and AI into research and healthcare systems.

He contributes to major European cancer research initiatives including ESTCAN and serves as Technical Lead for UNCAN-Connect, a flagship project of the EU Cancer Mission focused on developing the central platform for navigating cancer data resources across Europe. His work is centred on data governance, trustworthy AI, and the secure and compliant use of health data to drive innovation.
