She has advised more than 100 early-stage ventures and closely supported the development and scaling of 15 life science companies and projects, from pre-seed to Series A 🙌

🎙️ 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗞𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗲𝗶𝗿𝘆, molecular biologist and research scientist at the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 (𝗜𝗔𝗥𝗖/𝗪𝗛𝗢) in Lyon, has been developing research at the intersection of epigenetics, environmental exposures and cancer development since joining IARC in 2018. Her work explores how infections, dietary toxins and endocrine disruptors can influence the epigenome and contribute to cancer initiation, cell plasticity and prevention.

🎙️ 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗩𝗿𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗷𝗮𝗸, Head of the Oncology and Radiotherapy Center at University Hospital of Split and Full Professor at the University of Split School of Medicine, brings extensive experience in clinical oncology, cancer research and international collaboration. He has led and contributed to numerous clinical studies, EU-funded projects, oncology initiatives and scientific publications, with a strong focus on advancing cancer care in Croatia and the wider region.

Ovo je razgovor o onome što se događa između laboratorija i pacijenta. Tko premosti taj jaz, tko ga financira, tko ga pušta da padne.

Neke stvari koje sam čuo i koje dugo neću zaboraviti:

99% hrvatskih healthtech startupa nema prihode kad uđu u exit. Najčešća strategija nije skaliranje, već prodaja većem igraču.

Inovacija je novi proizvod ili usluga u stvarnoj primjeni. Bez primjene postoji samo izum.

Sektori koji su manje regulirani idu brže. U zdravstvu se mora dokazati sigurnost, učinkovitost i troškovna učinkovitost. To je tri p**a više domaće zadaće.
