😃 We are honoured to welcome Dr. Marcela G. del Carmen, MD, MPH, as a distinguished guest at the Plexus Conference Gala Dinner 2026 by Med&X Association

😎 Dr. del Carmen is a gynecologic oncologist, Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School, and President of Massachusetts General Hospital (Massachusetts General Hospital) and the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization. She also serves as Executive Vice President of Mass General Brigham.

💪🏻 As a physician, researcher, and academic leader, her work spans gynecologic cancer care, clinical research, medical education, and healthcare leadership. Her research has particularly focused on surgical treatment of gynecologic malignancies, ovarian cancer, rare gynecologic tumors, and improving access to healthcare.

🔥 Dr. del Carmen also made history as the first woman and first Latino to serve as President of Massachusetts General Hospital and the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization.

😃 We are honoured to welcome The Right Honourable Lord Smith of Finsbury, 109th Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, as a distinguished guest at the Plexus Conference Gala Dinner 2026 by Med&X Association.

🎓 Lord Smith brings an exceptional career spanning academia, public service, politics, culture, and education. He served as the UK Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport from 1997 to 2001, and later chaired the Environment Agency and the Advertising Standards Authority. Before becoming Chancellor, he served as Master of Pembroke College, Cambridge, from 2015 to 2025.

📚 A Cambridge alumnus himself, Lord Smith studied English at Pembroke College before completing a PhD, and in 2025 was elected Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, succeeding Lord Sainsbury of Turville.
