Letting "E" GO.

Most people spend their entire lives trying to win a game they should have stopped playing at forty. We are taught that growth is a straight line upward, but true maturity is actually a descent.
The first half of life is devoted to forming a healthy ego, the second half is going inward and letting go of it. - Carl Jung
Carl Jung was originally destined to be Sigmund Freuds successor until their fundamental disagreement over the nature of the unconscious led to a bitter split. This break forced Jung into a period of intense isolation and visionary experiences, which he called his confrontation with the unconscious. It was during this crisis that he realized the achievements of the first half of life—the career, the status, the public persona—are merely preparations for the actual journey: the discovery of the Self.
If you find yourself feeling restless or empty despite having everything you once wanted, it is likely because your ego has finished its job. The second half of life requires a different set of tools. You are no longer building a house; you are finally learning who lives inside it.
