[THE INDUSTRIAL 3D PRINTER MADE IN CROATIA] 🇭🇷

Here is a small "sneak peek" from the video recording of our Modax 3D printer and the interview with our engineers who worked on the production of the machine. The video was recorded for the benefit of the dissemination of the AMOTS experiment (part of the FF4EuroHPC project). We did the project in cooperation with the Ruđer Bošković Institute (Center for Informatics) in 2022.

Our story was chosen as one of the most interesting to be presented in the section "success stories" created by the application of modern HPC technologies.

We are proud to announce that our story came out in the Sveučilišni računski centar (Srce) magazine this month! 😊

Our team worked very hard to finish the AMOTS project, and the results are here. The colaboration of the Croatian Center of Competence (HPC) and Mikrotvornica was fruitfull.

AMOTS PROJECT IS FINISHED 🎉

Mikrotvornica team took final photos near our finished FDM/FFF Modax3D printer, which is now closed and fully functional!

Through 15 months of cooperation with the Ruđer Bošković Institute (Center for Informatics and Computing), we brought the AMOTS experiment to an end. We determined the extent to which the heat of the heated chamber affects the structural elements of the machine itself and, consequently, the precision of the production of 3D printed pieces.

WHAT ARE WE DOING IN MIKROTVORNICA? 🧐

Just little before Christmas we are proud to announce... this is our machine!!! 🎄

As part of the FF4EuroHPC project on our Modax machine, modifications were made and mechanical elements were added, as well as design interventions on exterior panels and doors, which are crucial in achieving project results and testing the impact of the heated chamber on the manufactured part.

The closed chamber will allow the simulation of the temperature stress of the machine profile directly from the CAD model or CAD assembly. The construction 3D model of the entire machine is complete! Coming up next is making the real thing look exactly as you can see it in the pictures.

Project is made in partnership with Institut Ruđer Bošković, Center for Informatics and Computing.

🔥WE HAVE GREAT NEWS!!!🔥

In very strong competition (and the only candidate from Croatia) our company Mikrotvornica d.o.o. received funding for an experiment aimed at establishing and predicting the impact of heat on the construction and motion system of industrial machines for additive production by checks within simulations using HPC infrastructure.

Multi-head Additive Manufacturing with Optimal HPC Thermal Stabilization - AMOTS project is worth 200,000 euros. The micro-factory is implementing it in cooperation with the Institut Ruđer Bošković, Center for Informatics and Computing.

The estimated experiment duration is one year 🤓
