🇪🇺 Europe's fragmentation makes it worse, and private markets run on relationships. You need to build trust.
📊 Track record is a weaker signal than the industry treats it as — managers fundraise mid-cycle.
🚀 Emerging managers definitely stand a chance, but they have to show the process, not just the numbers.
🔑 The interesting opportunities are always oversubscribed. It is all a little bit about the privileged access to capital.
💡 And venture has been unfairly penalised, given it sits behind most of the AI story.
