🌬️⚡ ADRIONWIND advances the Joint Transnational R&I Strategy for Offshore Wind

ADRIONWIND has entered one of its most important phases — the development of the Joint Transnational Research & Innovation (R&I) Strategy for offshore wind energy (Activity 2.5). This strategy will serve as a long-term, co-created blueprint guiding research, innovation, competitiveness, and coordinated sector development across all partner countries.

By bringing together diverse national contexts under a unified regional vision, the strategy will ensure alignment with EU priorities and provide clear, actionable steps to accelerate offshore wind deployment. It will support policymakers, researchers, SMEs, and industry stakeholders in building a strong and integrated offshore wind innovation ecosystem.

Two major chapters have already been completed, based on comprehensive national analyses and a detailed regional SWOT assessment.

The next phase will include:
🔹 Engagement with key innovation players
🔹 Focus groups and expert consultations
🔹 Inputs via the ADRIONWIND digital platform
🔹 Coordinated partner contributions

These activities will ensure the final strategy is evidence-based, inclusive, and aligned with real regional needs and opportunities.

More updates coming soon as ADRIONWIND continues strengthening the strategic foundation for offshore wind innovation in the Adriatic–Ionian region. 🌍🚀

🌬️📊 ADRIONWIND completes national and joint SWOT analyses of the offshore wind sector

As part of Activity 2.2, all ADRIONWIND partners have successfully conducted comprehensive national SWOT analyses of the offshore wind energy sector, examining strengths, gaps, opportunities, and challenges within their respective countries across the Adriatic–Ionian region.

These individual assessments were consolidated into a joint regional SWOT analysis, offering a clear and comparative overview of offshore wind readiness among partner countries.

The joint SWOT represents a key strategic input for the development of the Joint Transnational Research & Innovation Strategy, ensuring alignment with real market conditions, shared priorities, and country-specific needs.

With this strong analytical foundation, ADRIONWIND is now ready to design targeted transnational actions that foster innovation, capacity building, and coordinated offshore wind development throughout the region. 🌍⚡

📍 Time to sum up the ADRIONWIND project team meeting held in Bosnia and Herzegovina

We successfully held a project team meeting in Bosnia and Herzegovina, bringing together partners to discuss the current status of the project, review progress across work packages, align on administrative and financial matters, and agree on next steps for the upcoming period. The meeting provided valuable space for coordination, knowledge exchange, and strategic alignment among partners.

On the second day, the agenda included a study visit to the Wind Power Plant Podveležje, offering first-hand insight into large-scale wind energy implementation, operational challenges, and best practices. The visit was an excellent opportunity to connect project objectives with real-world applications and to strengthen collaboration through shared learning.

Clear action points and next steps were agreed, setting a strong foundation for the continued implementation of project activities.

A special thank you to Elektroprivreda BiH for the warm hospitality, excellent organization, and for hosting both the meeting and the study visit. Their support and openness greatly contributed to the success of this event.

Looking forward to the next project milestones and continued collaboration. 🌍⚡
