Meetings are a very important part of the daily routine for most of the business people. They are a great opportunity to present new ideas and create added benefits for the company. Besides that, meetings are often some sort of checkpoints for on-going projects. Sometimes, meetings can be ineffective. Participants can lose focus if the agenda is not clear, meeting lasts too long or too many people that are not relevant for the project are involved. That is why it is important to set goals and introduce everyone with the topics that will be discussed. That will result with efficient meetings and happiness of every involved party.

The idea of a shorter workweek emerged back in the Great Depression period in the 1930s, when the economist John Maynard Keynes predicted that we will work less than 15 hours a week in the next 100 years. Today it seems he was a bit too optimistic, but nevertheless, it is encouraging that more and more big companies switch to a four-day workweek. For employees, that means more time spent with their families and friends and less stress. Research has shown that the productivity level stays the same or sometimes even grows. What is your opinion on a four-day workweek?

Ideja kraćeg radnog tjedna seže iz vremena Velike depresije 1930-ih godina. Tada je ekonomist John Maynard Keynes predvidio da ćemo u idućih 100 godina raditi 15 sati tjedno. Iz današnje perspektive, takvo predviđanje čini se preoptimističnim, ali ohrabruje činjenica da se sve više svjetskih kompanija odlučuje na četverodnevni radni tjedan. Za zaposlenike to znači više vremena provedenog u krugu obitelji i prijatelja te znatno manja količina stresa. Uz to, istraživanja su pokazala da je produktivnost zaposlenika ostala jednaka ili u nekim slučajevima čak i porasla. Koje je vaše mišljenje o konceptu četverodnevnog radnog tjedna?

Even a few minutes of walking can have a good impact on the body and mind. Also, having a meal is recommended, because that is the way to take in a new dose of energy.
