A trial close is a tactic sales professionals use to determine whether customers are ready to close a deal. To perform a trial close, a sales professional may ask a buyer open-ended questions that suggest the idea of closing. 🧐
After observing the customer's behavior, you can determine the type of open-ended question that'll be most effective in gauging their interest in purchasing a product or service. Here are a few examples of common trial closing questions you may use while conducting your own:
✔️If you could change something about my proposal, what would it be?
✔️What do you see as the next steps for you here?
✔️Does this product or service make sense to you?
