We are honoured that Tesco Business Solutions was recognised at the CEE Business Services Awards as the winner of the Top AI Application Implementation Project of the Year award 🤖✨. This award celebrates excellence in applying AI to drive real business impact, and we’re thrilled to see our teams’ work acknowledged on such a prestigious regional platform.

The awarded initiative is a multi-phased hyperautomation programme that has transformed the way our buyers nominate and link thousands of products ⚙️. Designed as an end-to-end digital workflow and built on our existing technology stack, the solution was co-created in close partnership with buyers, markets and technology teams 🤝. It’s a powerful example of how collaboration, innovation and deep business understanding can come together to drive scalable transformation 🚀.

🦋💫 What do a butterfly, wizards from Hogwarts, and Tommy Cash have in common? They all made an appearance at the TBS Carnival last week!

🍩🍿 Alongside the breathtaking costumes and the amazing creativity of our colleagues, we were also treated to classic carnival delights, from colourful glazed donuts to must-have snacks like pretzels and popcorn.

🎉This joyful event truly brought colour to the usual grey February days. Check out the rest of the costumes below and get a taste of the carnival spirit we experienced last Wednesday!

🤝 Our colleagues took part in a wide range of community and charity initiatives throughout the year and it was no different in December.

🎁 We organized a charity bake sale to collect money for the Tesco Angel Foundation, a gift donation to kids, the so-called Shoe Box initiative, and a money collection through the Christmas lottery where the price of our lottery tickets went to the From Streets to Homes Association, helping provide affordable housing for people experiencing homelessness.

🎉Our Christmas party brought together everything we love about the holiday season: great people, festive company traditions, and a touch of sparkle.

🥂From a multi-course festive dinner to TBST signature cocktails, mulled wine, chimney cake, karaoke, a photobooth, and a DJ spinning funky disco classics, the evening was full of laughter, dancing, and unforgettable moments.

✨This year, we also turned up the glamour with our very first Glamour Pit Stop – quick hair and makeup touch-ups, and shimmery Christmas tattoos, which made sure everyone felt party-ready.

🏆And of course, no Christmas party would be complete without a little friendly competition. The Great Christmas Showdown put our Christmas-song knowledge, speed, and dance moves to the test.

❤️The night wasn’t just about celebration. Through our Christmas lottery, we were proud to support the From Streets to Homes Association, helping provide affordable housing for people experiencing homelessness. Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make a difference.

✨ We are proud that our TBST colleagues joined forces with Tesco Magyarország and Magyar Élelmiszerbank Egyesület for a special CSR activity.

🍲 Together, we rolled up our sleeves to cook up traditional Hungarian favourites - delicious paprika potato stew and sweet coconut balls. By the end of the day, we made an incredible 742 portions of food.

🤗 These meals were distributed by the Food Bank to people in need at the Budafok-Tétény Family and Child Welfare Institution and the Érd Social and Care Center, helping to bring not only nourishment but also a little care to the communities.

🙌 A huge thank you to everyone who contributed with their time and energy. 💙

💗 Pink Day at TBS! 💗

Last week our colleagues came together to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month — proudly wearing pink, a symbol of strength, hope, and solidarity. 💕

This day serves each year as a reminder of the importance of early detection, regular screenings, and supporting those who bravely face this journey. Recognizing how vital early screenings are, we included the opportunity for breast ultrasound examinations as part of our ongoing Wellbeing Weeks, supporting colleagues in taking proactive steps for their health.

At TBS, we are committed to supporting awareness because every little help makes a difference. 🎀

🐾 Celebrating our Cutest Companions! 🐾

Last month, we hosted a heartwarming colleague engagement activity — the Cutest Companion Contest — where our team members proudly showed off their adorable home office pals! 🐶🐱🐰

The competition was fierce across all categories — kitties, puppers, and pocket pals (think bunnies, hamsters, guinea pigs, and other exotic friends). With nearly 40 contestants, choosing the winners was no easy task. 💖

In celebration of National Animal Day earlier this week, we’re thrilled to introduce our top winners: Szeszil, Panír, Folti & Bolyhika! 🎉We have also included a few fan favourites for everyone to enjoy 🐾.

Thank you to all participants — your furry (and not-so-furry) friends brought smiles to all our colleagues! 💛

This September, we proudly joined the School Start Together programme once again, a wonderful initiative of Magyar Ökumenikus Segélyszervezet. Together, we helped provide essential school supplies to children in need.

Last week, 65 colleagues took part in a volunteering event at the Fővárosi Állat- és Növénykert (Budapest Zoo) helping with gardening, weeding, and general landscaping across the grounds. It was a great opportunity to support the Zoo’s daily work, connect with one another, and spend time outdoors in a truly unique setting.

As part of the initiative, colleagues also voted on an animal for us to adopt. The clear winner was Bohus, the Zoo’s famously fluffy Pallas’s cat.

At TBS, everyone is encouraged to spend two days per year doing volunteering work and make an impact.

🎉F.A.B. Day 2025 — our refreshed Annual Day company event at TBST — was all about Festivity, Appreciation and Bonding. It brought together TBS and Technology colleagues for a FABulous day filled with recognition🌟, creativity🎨, and connection🤝.

👏We were proud to mark the occasion by welcoming Manish Sethi as the new Director of CE TBS, taking over from Elzbieta Golab. A heartfelt thank you to Elzbieta for her leadership — and a warm welcome to Manish as he steps into this new chapter with us.

🏆The highlight of the day? Our Annual Award Ceremony, where we celebrated outstanding performance across teams and individuals. Recognising the dedication, impact and collaboration shown by our colleagues over the past year is always a proud moment and this year was no exception.

✨Beyond the awards, the day was filled with energy and creativity - from creative DIY stations for painting tote bags and making friendship or Thank You bracelets, to karaoke🎤, dancing💃, and more all under a relaxed, outdoor boho-chic summer theme☀️.

That’s exactly what we explored at a thought-provoking roundtable discussion organized by Profiles International Hungary, where young leaders shared their views on responsibility, teamwork, connection, and how they are reshaping leadership as we know it.

🎉We’re proud that our colleague, Anikó Nagy Timková, Customer & Colleague Engagement Team Manager, joined the panel to bring her perspective on leadership values, expectations, and the kind of environment that helps her and her team thrive.

💬The event sparked honest and inspiring conversations about:
- The leadership styles Gen Z aspires to
- The work cultures where they can truly flourish
- What it means to lead with purpose and authenticity
