Dear Network,
In light of recent events, Hungary is experiencing a high influx of refugees from Ukraine. While some only transit through the country, others consider staying with the option of returning home someday soon. As a Budapest-based company, it is our responsibility to give an opportunity to those who may decide to seek employment in Hungary during this time and would otherwise have difficulty in doing so.
Therefore, we have created a set of actions that we’d like to take in order to give an equal chance to those, who are currently in the country and looking to settle down. Although we’ve always been an equal-opportunity employer and proudly sponsored work visas for those who applied to our positions in Hungary, we’d like to extend the support we can possibly give to our Ukrainian applicants with the following actions:
1. Equipment: We would be happy to provide a spot in our offices for those, who currently do not have the possibility to access a computer or similar electronic devices in order to complete the assessment included in our selection process.
2. Housing: We offer help in finding suitable accommodation for our new hires and subsidize the first 3 months’ rent in order to contribute to a more stable start in their new journey.
3. Relocation: When the time comes that it is safe to return to Ukraine, we’ll provide the opportunity for our colleagues to do so while maintaining their employment with Saltech.
