🌍 ActWell Project Awarded Erasmus+ Funding!

We are excited to share that ActWell – Action Competence in Education for Planetary Well-being has been awarded Erasmus+ funding under the Cooperation Partnerships in School Education (KA220-SCH) action.

🌱 Turning sustainability knowledge into action

Although sustainability education is becoming an increasingly important part of school curricula, students still need more opportunities to put their knowledge into practice. ActWell aims to bridge this gap by strengthening action competence among teachers and students and empowering young people to become active agents of change.

Through innovative teaching resources, teacher training activities and AI-enhanced learning scenarios, the project will support schools in developing more practical and engaging approaches to education for planetary well-being.

The project will also bring together schools, educators and local stakeholders through pilot activities, Action for Planetary Well-Being Days and a European community of practice.

📚 What does ActWell aim to achieve?

- Train 300 pre-service and in-service teachers across Europe.
- Collaborate with 10 schools.
- Reach approximately 1,000 students.
- Develop new pedagogical frameworks, evaluation tools and learning scenarios that connect sustainability education with real-world action.

🚀 We are proud to present that RCISD is part of the TRANSFER consortium, a new Horizon project.

How can research better support education policy and everyday practice? And how can we make sure that education policies actually contribute to greater equity and inclusion?

The new TRANSFER – Evaluation and Research-Policy-Practice Transfer to Promote Equity and Inclusion project will explore exactly these questions.

Coordinated by the University of Fribourg, TRANSFER brings together 13 partners from eight European countries for the next three years. The project will develop and test new approaches to evaluating education policies and strengthen the exchange of knowledge between researchers, policymakers, practitioners and learners.

Across Finland, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Lithuania, Norway, Spain and Switzerland, the consortium will investigate how policies are developed, implemented and experienced – and how their effects may differ across groups and contexts.

🇭🇺 We are very happy that RCISD is contributing to TRANSFER as one of the Hungarian partners, working together with an excellent international consortium to help make research evidence more relevant and useful for policy and practice.

We look forward to the next three years of collaboration, learning and knowledge exchange!

What remains when a project ends?

As Roma RISE approaches its conclusion, more than 40 participants joined our International Online Roundtable to reflect on what we have achieved — and, even more importantly, what should continue.
The discussion went far beyond project results. We talked about Roma voice and representation, identity, the language of integration, intersectional discrimination, the role of civil society, and how networks can turn dialogue into joint action.
One message captured the spirit of the discussion particularly well:
“Projects have starting dates and ending dates. Relations should not.”
Over the past two years, Roma RISE has brought young people, activists, experts and organisations together across countries through training, international exchanges, community activities and dialogue. Our final roundtable showed that these connections can have a life beyond the project itself.
A huge thank you to our speakers, partners and everyone who joined the discussion and shared their experience and ideas. ❤️
The project may be approaching its end, but hopefully the connections, conversations and cooperation will continue.

💥 Stop teaching to a screen of black boxes! On 22 June 2026, the Beyond the Screen consortium gathered European educators 🌍 to defeat digital fatigue and revolutionize online learning. 💻🚀

RCISD spearheaded the session, introducing two game-changing tools to completely flip the script on traditional digital classrooms:
📝 Storytelling: Building powerful narratives that capture attention and supercharge memory retention. 🧠✨
🎨 Comic Strips: Using visual storytelling to simplify complex topics and tackle everyday teaching hurdles. 🦸‍♀️

We got real during an interactive brainstorm, addressing the brutal realities of modern virtual classrooms—like silent audiences, cameras switched off 📷❌, and fading motivation.

The impact? These real-world struggles are going directly into our upcoming Interactive E-Trainers Manual. Built by educators, for educators, this is the ultimate survival guide for the future of digital learning. 🤝🌱

🌍 We are proud to have developed the DigitaLang platform together with our international partners, creating digital resources that support the integration of migrant and refugee learners across Europe.

The first DigitaLang module explores key challenges in inclusive education, including language barriers, diverse educational backgrounds, fostering a sense of belonging, classroom management, and adapting learning materials for different learner needs.

🌟 The third international RomaRise Exchange, focused on Identity and Leadership in the Roma community, was a powerful reminder of the strength, resilience, and potential within our people.

🤩It was an impactfull training!

🌍 The journey continues! After an inspiring International Mobility in Reus, the InclusiveFuture project is entering its next exciting phase: The Local Cascade Trainings! 🚀
Our educators have officially stepped into their roles as "Change Agents". Now, they are bringing the knowledge back home to replicate the training and transfer their newly acquired expertise to their local peers.
Over the coming weeks, each partner country will host a 25-hour Local Training programme. These sessions will empower local teachers, school directors, and counsellors with practical tools to implement the Inclusive Pedagogical Model and the European GreenComp framework directly into their daily classroom practice.
By training the trainers, we are creating a powerful multiplier effect, ensuring that sustainable and inclusive education reaches at least 200 educators across our communities. 🌿
