The government heard the complaints about Canggu traffic.

And now there's a plan. Bali's provincial government has allocated Rp 5 trillion to build new road infrastructure, prioritizing Denpasar and Badung, with construction starting in 2026. One of the key connections being developed: a road linking Jalan Gatot Subroto Barat directly to Canggu, extending all the way to Terminal Mengwi, a total of 17.7 km of new access.
