📍 Hearing session: Implementation of SNI ISO 37001 & SNI ISO 9001, Karangasem Regency Government

Steps to build governance with integrity begin with the units with the highest risk levels.

GIC Certification team successfully held a hearing and discuss session at the General Secretary of Karangasem Regency , accompanied by relevant Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), including the Goods and Services Procurement (PBJ) Department, to discuss the implementation of SNI ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) and SNI ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS)

Why is the Goods and Services Procurement Division a primary focus?

Because the procurement process is a government function that manages public funds, tax, and many parties, and carries a higher potential risk of conflicts of interest, bribery, and corruptions than many other administrative functions. Therefore, strong oversight is no longer merely an option, but it is a necessity.

Thank you to Karangasem Regency Government, special to General Secretary of Karangasem, for giving us this opportunity and time to discuss, we committed always to upgrade the Anti Bribery and Corruption Mechanism and knowledge in every governance institutions.

If the answer is yes, then something is definitely wrong. ❎

ISO 9001 isn't just a certificate on the wall with a logo and the words "Just Certified." More than that, its true value can felt in day-to-day operations.

✅ Work processes are clearer
✅ Reducing repeated errors
✅ Clear SOP in handle customer complaints
✅ Effectiveness team work and coordinations
✅ Decisions are made based on data, not assumptions, etc.

If operations haven't changed after receiving certification, perhaps the framework has changed. 😉
Because the goal of ISO 9001 isn't to look great, but to make the organization work better every day.

First step towards better governance! 🚀

The GIC Certification team had the opportunity to discuss directly with the Deputy Regent of Central Lombok, Dr. H. M. Nursiah, S.Sos., M.Si., regarding the implementation of SNI ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) and SNI ISO 37001 (Anti-Bribery Management System).

Because great public service starts with a good system, and integrity isn't just a slogan—more than that, it's a work culture. 🤝

Hopefully, this collaboration will lead a government that is increasingly professional, more transparent, and trusted by the public. In line with the one of the mission of the Central Lombok government to achieve the Integrity Zone (ZI) to every strategic OPD.

GIC Certification attended the Public Hearing on the Draft Special Requirements for Management System Certification Bodies for the Business Continuity Management System Sub-Scheme and the Asset Management System Sub-Scheme, organized by the National Accreditation Committee (KAN) on July 21, 2026. The meeting was opened by the Secretary General of KAN, Dr. Ir. Wahyu Purbowasito S., M.Sc.

This event served as an important forum for providing input, harmonizing understanding, and supporting the development of credible and relevant requirements that meet the needs of stakeholders. As a certidication body under the KAN accreditation, we always committed to continuing and support the strengthening of the conformity assessment system and improving the quality of certification services in Indonesia. We thank KAN for organizing this collaborative and constructive forum, and involving us to take part in this event.

GIC Certification held a hearing with the Karangasem Regency Government. The meeting was hosted by the Assistant III for General Administration, accompanied by relevant regional government agencies appointed by the Regional Secretary of Karangasem Regency, Mr. Ir. I Ketut Sedana Merta, ST., MT.

This meeting was the first step in discussing the planned implementation of the SNI ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) and SNI ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) as part of efforts to strengthen clean, transparent, and accountable governance, oriented toward improving the quality of public services.

We thank the Karangasem Regency Government for their warm welcome and trust. We hope this synergy will be the beginning of a transformation towards a government that is increasingly superior, imbued with integrity, and competitive.

🚨 Improving MBG or Protecting It from Scrutiny?

President Prabowo has instructed all ministries and government institutions to work together to evaluate, improve, and strengthen the Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) program so it delivers real benefits to the public.

At the same time, a cooperation agreement between the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the Attorney General's Office related to legal assistance and oversight in the MBG program has sparked public discussion. Some view it as a positive step to ensure legal certainty, while others question whether such an arrangement could reduce independent scrutiny over the program.

This raises an important question:
Can a program truly improve if critical oversight is perceived to be limited?

Whether in public institutions or private organizations, sustainable success requires more than good intentions. It requires governance systems that encourage continuous improvement while safeguarding transparency and accountability.

Integrity should never be seen as an obstacle to progress—it is the foundation of progress. ✅🖐

Direktur GIC Certification, Bapak Yos Saputra pada Senin, 13 Juli 2026 berkesempatan untuk bersilaturahmi sekaligus berdiskusi bersama Wakil Bupati Bangli, Bapak I Wayan Diar, SST.Par., M.I.Kom. bertempat di Rumah Dinas Wakil Bupati Bangli, serta mendapatkan sambutan hangat secara langsung dengan penuh antusias oleh beliau sendiri.

Topik yang dibahas tentu seputar penerapan SNI ISO sebagai standar internasional yang dapat membantu meningkatkan kualitas mutu dan layanan pada lembaga dan instansi kedinasan yang berada dalam jajaran Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Bangli. Khususnya SNI ISO 9001:2026 untuk Sistem Manajemen Mutu dan SNI ISO 37001:2025 untuk Sistem Manajemen Anti Penyuapan.

Suasana yang santai membawa bahasan diskusi menjadi jauh lebih intens, tidak hanya terpaku pada operasional layanan instansi daerah, tapi juga perkembangan topik-topik yang sedang hangat diperbincangkan di media. Figur Bapak Wabup yang sangat humble, juga banyak memberikan insight, berbagi pengalaman, dan arahan bagi GIC Certification khususnya dalam hal menjaga integritas kami sebagai lembaga sertifikasi.
