New portfolio company: N&E Innovations 🇸🇬🌱
Bali Investment Club has expanded its regional investment reach through Archipelago VC. N&E is AVC investment #4 ( #11 combined with BIC) and our first in Singapore.
We are backing N&E alongside Tundra Capital, SGInnovate, The Radical Fund and SG7 Group.
Many antimicrobial solutions used at commercial scale still rely on chemical, metal or alcohol based actives. They work, but often come with environmental and safety tradeoffs.
N&E built something better.
ViKANG is a patented antimicrobial technology derived from upcycled food waste. It is non toxic, non cytotoxic, certified safe for food contact and sensitive skin, and delivers more than 99 percent antibacterial efficacy.
Because the technology itself is safe, it can be used across:
🥬 Food packaging 🧼 Cleaning and hygiene 🥭 Post harvest treatment for growers 🏥 Future medical applications
The company has already commercialised its products across more than ten countries.
Food loss, chemical exposure and plastic waste are among the largest and least discussed sustainability challenges in our region. N&E is addressing them through one scalable technology platform.

What does real impact actually look like? 🌏 In 2025, our portfolio in Indonesia delivered:

♻️ 48.9M kg of waste recovered (+33% YoY)

🌳 97M kg of CO₂(e) avoided (+37% YoY)

💸 US$6.8M earned by workers at or below the minimum-wage benchmark (+29% YoY)

And five years in: 115M kg of waste recovered, 216M kg of CO₂(e) avoided, and US$20.1M reaching low-income workers a year of supplementary income for ~10,000 people at the SEA poverty benchmark.

We don’t just deploy capital, we build alongside our founders, foster active cross-portfolio collaboration, and integrate impact into every investment decision. Our methodology is designed in-house and aligns with the Impact Management Project’s Five Dimensions, the Operating Principles for Impact Management, and the Principles for Responsible Investment. 🌱

2025 was the year we compounded our impact across Indonesia. With Archipelago VC, we are now extending the thesis across Southeast Asia, with tangible impact starting this year.

💥 What does impact look like on the ground?

In 2024, our eight portfolio companies turned purpose into progress. Some standout wins:

♻️ recovered 31,760 kg of waste in Jakarta, almost double last year, and avoided nearly 59,000 kg of CO₂.

🦗 turned 2,600 kg of food waste into insect-based animal feed, creating stable jobs for 130 collectors.

🍲 empowered micro-kitchens (93% run by women) to earn over US$4.5M, while reducing food waste through pre-orders.

👟 gave a second life to 6,480 tires and 3,781 sneakers, avoiding 46,000 kg of emissions, one stylish step at a time.

🪑 transformed 88,000 kg of plastic into beautiful furniture and building materials.

🚚 .co helped 345 drivers access EVs, generating over US$100k in earnings.

🔌 .remind recovered 2,300+ kg of e-waste and turned it into US$173k of income for formalized workers.

🌿 .io installed air-cleaning microalgae devices that removed 5,000 kg of CO₂ from Indonesia’s urban air.

We’re incredibly proud of what our founders achieved this year across waste recovery, emissions reduction, and income generation for underserved communities:

💸 *US$5.3M earned by low-income workers* (+36.3% YoY)
👩‍💼 *1,046 jobs supported, 78% held by women*
💰 *US$24.5M in gross revenue generated across the portfolio*

But our ecosystem is about more than numbers.
In 2024, we saw the real power of collaboration: Shared distribution channels, unlocked data, and joint initiatives between our ventures helped scale their reach, faster and further.
