Heightened security in Koh Samui since yesterday. Authorities increased security following the discovery of suspected explosive devices in Phuket and Krabi over the past week. Police, military, and local officials are screening all vehicles and passengers arriving at the island’s ferry terminal in Surat Thani province. Additional checkpoints have been set up along key routes and piers, including those to Koh Phangan and Koh Tao. The measures follow several coordinated bomb threats in southern tourist areas, including one at Phuket Airport. All devices were safely neutralised. Tourists and residents are advised to stay alert, report suspicious items, and cooperate with ongoing inspections. Expect delays at ferry terminals and on main roads around Koh Samui.
