TUMBUH positions growth as both a personal and collective process, unfolding through time, vulnerability, and resilience. The integration of acrylic and crochet creates a layered visual language that reflects the complexity of becoming, where fragility and strength exist in quiet tension. Floral forms emerge as metaphors for transformation, suggesting that growth is not linear, but cyclical — shaped by moments of struggle, rest, and renewal.
The use of reclaimed canvas, leftover yarn, and recycled bottles situates the work within a discourse of sustainability, extending its meaning beyond the individual toward broader ecological awareness. In this context, Tumbuh invites viewers to reflect on interconnectedness, care, and responsibility, proposing growth as an act of persistence, empathy, and collective hope.
