A favorite quote of mine is, “We challenge most of our beliefs, except those we deeply hold. Those, we rarely think to question.”

Belief-Breaking Formula

In sales, we often hear about the importance of challenging a prospect’s beliefs, but rarely do we get guidance on how to do it effectively. Here’s a four-step approach that works well when you need to gently confront a prospect’s misconceptions.

1. Express their misconception from a personal perspective (to keep it respectful): “I used to believe that lawncare services were just a luxury for the wealthy.”

2. Explain why that belief was mistaken: “I’d spend half a day doing it myself and be totally drained afterward.”

3. Share the correct belief: “Then it hit me—if my own time is worth more than a lawncare worker’s, I actually save by outsourcing, allowing me to focus on my primary work.”

4. Back it up with a relatable example: “A client of mine, John, used to spend his Sundays on yard work. Now, he works a few hours, then enjoys the rest of his day with his family. He doesn’t just keep up with the Joneses; he is the Joneses.”

Anyone else feel the Earthquakein Texas!?

TEXAS EARTHQUAKE - THINGS SHAKING IN WEST TEXAS -
A Texas Earthquake: 4.9 Tremor Felt Across Abilene.
Some all the way in Austin and even Frisco reported feeling it as well.
4.9 is strong enough to cause noticeable shaking indoors and even create minor cracks in walls and ceilings.

The earthquake's epicenter was located near the Scurry-Fisher County line, 54 miles northwest of Abilene and just 10 miles northeast of Hermleigh, with the quake occurring at 10:38 p.m.

An aftershock with a 4.4 magnitude occurred minutes later, just northwest of the first quake, with a third magnitude 3.1 shock being felt in the early hours of the morning.
