Over the past four days, we had the privilege of being part of the Export Technical Guidance Program for MSMEs, organized by the Department of Industry and Trade of North Sumatra Province Bri Mael .
The program was designed to equip local businesses with the knowledge and practical insights needed to prepare for international markets.
On the first day, participants learned about the essential foundations of exporting, including business licensing, export readiness, and the certifications required to ensure their products meet international standards.
The next day featured experienced export practitioners who shared valuable industry insights and best practices. We were also honored to welcome representatives from Pelindo, who provided an overview of export logistics, followed by informative sessions from the Indonesian Customs Office and the Regional Center for Animal, Fish, and Plant Quarantine of Indonesia, covering customs procedures and quarantine requirements for international trade.
Through this initiative, we hope to see stronger collaboration between government institutions and the business community in supporting more local enterprises to expand beyond domestic markets and compete globally.
Empowering MSMEs is not only about increasing exports, it is about creating sustainable economic growth, strengthening regional competitiveness, and showcasing the quality of Indonesian products on the global stage.
