The Indonesian government has long considered moving the nation's capital. Since the First President of the Republic of Indonesia Soekarno, This issue has been carried out. Then, in 2019, the vision is realized when President Joko Widodo decided to move the nation's capital from DKI Jakarta to East Kalimantan.
There are many factors that the Indonesian government decided to move the country's capital city, ranging from the availability of clean water, population distribution, pollution levels, economy, and others.
Seeing the various problems, moving the national capital is the right action. At the beginning of 2022, the Government of Indonesia has given the new name of the country's capital to "Nusantara".
