Starting from, April 2nd 2020, 00:00 WIT, foreigners are not allowed entering Indonesia except for the following categories:

Foreigners with Limited Stay Permits and Permanent stay Permits (KITAS and KITAP holders);

Foreigners, holders of Diplomatic and Service Visas;

Foreigners, holders of Diplomatic Stay Permits and Service Stay Permits;

Aid and Medical support staff;

Sea and Air crew;

Workers on National Strategic projects.

UPDATES ON WORK PERMIT AND STAY PERMIT PROCESS

Outcomes from the discussion held on 13 November 2018 in Hotel Manhattan, Jakarta. The panelists were from the Directorate General of Immigration, Ministry of Manpower and Perca Indonesia:

1. Change in the process of issuing work permits: instead of RPTKA and IMTA and work visa, now there is RPTKA and Notification (Notifikasi), while work visas are automatically sent to an Indonesian embassy abroad and the whole process is bundled;
2. Directors and commissioners that are shareholders do not need to have a work permit anymore;
3. Sponsor for work permits can be a legal entity (company, foundation, government ) or other entity (CV or other).
4. Holders of spouse sponsored ITAS/KITAS or ITAP/KITAP can apply via Manpower application system for RPTKA and Notification, and they do not go through the work visa process.
