Could flashing lights compromise the safety of automated driving systems? 🚨

Researchers at Fujitsu and Ben-Gurion University of the Negev have identified a potential safety risk in automated driving systems.

Our study reveals that flashing lights from emergency vehicles can interfere with image recognition, potentially leading to accidents.

Our proposed solution "Caracetamol" uses advanced image processing technology to filter out disruptive light patterns.

It can train automated driving systems to specifically recognise and navigate around emergency vehicles with flashing lights to improve the safety.
