PT Ricobana Abadi was established on February 19, 1981, operating its core business in heavy equipment contract services and spareparts supplies. A rapid growth of domestic heavy equipment needs forced PT Ricobana Abadi to developed heavy equipment rental division and contractor in year 1985. In March 27, 1986, PT Ricobana Abadi was appointed by Kobelco International(s) CO, Pte, Ltd (KISCO) as a s
ole agent for marketing Kobelco branded equipment spareparts and continued until year 1998. The lead of heavy equipment rental division was initiated by bulldozers and excavators rental services to PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam persero, Tanjung Enim, Sumatra Selatan, which is still in progress until now. In the following year, this division started to facilitate heavy equipment services to other companies such as PT Jaya Konstruksi MP, PT Caltex Pacific Indonesia, etc. In 1991, heavy equipment rental and contractor division undertook the earth work construction project and became the sub-contractor of JO Jaya Obayashi for the first time in respect to the Paiton PLTU project building. Until recent, PT Ricobana Abadi has owned and operated a large number of small to big machines which is spreadout at various projects in Indonesia.
