A face that defined a generation. 🔥

Affandi (1907–1990)
𝘚𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘗𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘵, 1970
Oil on canvas · 135 × 96 cm

Among the most celebrated works of Indonesia's greatest expressionist, this monumental self-portrait — painted at the peak of Affandi's powers — represents the artist at his most visceral and unguarded. Exhibited at the Malaysian National Art Gallery in 1971 and illustrated in the definitive Dag Hammarskjoeld Prize publication (Dirix, Belgium, 1976), its provenance is impeccable and its place in the canon of Asian modernism is assured.

🗓 This work is among the auction lots at our upcoming sale on 21 June 2026.

✨AUCTION HIGHLIGHTS✨

I MADE WIANTA

Through geometry, rhythm, and luminous color, I Made Wianta transformed abstraction into a meditative visual language.

Balancing precision with spontaneity, Wianta’s works reflect a dynamic dialogue between modern abstraction and the philosophical sensibility deeply rooted in Balinese culture.

These works will be auctioned in HARMONIE’s Charity Auction, 17 May 2026, starting at 3.30pm WIB

In "Cinta", Sudjana Kerton transforms love into a dreamlike visual poem. Human figures, flowing landscapes, birds, and two intertwined swans dissolve gently into one emotional atmosphere—where affection is felt not through narrative, but through rhythm, gesture, and sensation.

Painted with soft tonal transitions and lyrical forms, the work reflects Kerton’s deeply expressive and imaginative painterly language. Rather than depicting love literally, "Cinta' invites us into a world where intimacy, nature, and memory quietly move together in harmony.

Gregorius Sidharta Soegijo
"Leleson"
Bronze
91 × 49 × 49 cm

A masterful bronze sculpture that embodies stillness, contemplation, and sculptural refinement. In Leleson, Gregorius Sidharta transforms the reclining figure into a meditative form—powerful in scale, yet deeply intimate in presence.

Recognized as one of Indonesia’s foremost modern sculptors, Sidharta developed a visual language that merges modernist structure with emotional sensitivity and spiritual depth. The textured bronze surface and quiet posture of the figure reveal a work that is both monumental and profoundly human.

This work is among the lots offered at the charity auction this Sunday.
