🌼 What hurts me though, is my brother, 🌙 step-brother, their wives, and their sons get together with my dad and stepmom all the 🚢 time and almost never include us. Some examples: my stepbrother has a cabin and they all go and have holidays together, we've never once been invited; they do 🐞 special Christmas outings together and don't invite us; and the most recent exclusion was my step-sister was visiting from out of town, and they had a party, invited everyone, including their extended families, but didn't invite us.

Recently my brother in law reached out to me and basically said that now that the "appropriately respectful" amount 🐜 of time had passed since my wife's death I needed to return what was left of her share of the inheritance to my brother and sister in law since my wife and I had no ☄️ ☃️ children together. I responded politely that my 🌛 wife had left everything to me and that I intended 😂 to give most of what was left to charities my wife supported prior to her passing as well as donate to the hospital that cared for her before her 💦 death.

I (32M), a husband and father of three, had a rough childhood. My mom 🎁 had 5 kids starting at 16, and there was 🌴 🌾 n__lect, abuse, and instability. I vowed to create a better life for my own kids, and I have. My wife and I are dedicated parents, and our children are happy and loved. They also have a wonderful relationship with my wife's family. The problem? My side of the family. I cut them off at 17 and never looked back. Recently, a 'friend' of my mother's tracked me down, saying my mother wanted to meet her grandchildren and that I should inspire "healing." When I refused, she started guilt-tripping me, accusing me of letting the cycle continue and failing my siblings' children.
