Eco-Industrial Park (EIP) Center merupakan sebuah center of excellence, bertujuan untuk mengubah Kawasan Industri di Indonesia menjadi Kawasan Industri Berwawasan Lingkungan. EIP Center dapat menjadi sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kesadaran, mentransfer pengetahuan, dan berbagi kisah sukses EIP. Selain itu, EIP Center dapat berfungsi sebagai platform untuk memfasilitasi Kawasan Industri dalam memenuhi Kerangka Kerja dan Standar EIP Nasional untuk EIP, yang saat ini sedang dalam tahap pengembangan.
Dalam implementasinya, dibawah Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme II—Indonesia country-level intervention project (GEIPP II—Indonesia) yang dilaksanakan oleh UNIDO bekerja sama dengan Kementerian Perindustrian (sebagai mitra nasional utama) dan didanai oleh Pemerintah Swiss melalui Sekretariat Negara untuk Urusan Ekonomi, Yayasan Pengembangan Produksi Bersih (PPBN) / Indonesia Cleaner Production Center (ICPC) berperan sebagai pengelola harian dan penjaga ekosistem EIP Center. PPBN/ICPC memastikan keterhubungan yang aktif antara pemangku kepentingan melalui berbagai kegiatan, termasuk pengembangan kapasitas, advokasi kebijakan, promosi investasi hijau, serta penguatan jejaring profesional.
Sebagai penguatan peran EIP Center di tingkat implementasi, dibentuklah EIP Resource Pool—sebuah wadah yang menghimpun pakar, konsultan, serta penyedia jasa dan teknologi di bidang Eco-Industrial Park. Dikelola secara bersama oleh UNIDO GEIPP II – Indonesia dan PPBN/ICPC, EIP Resource Pool berfungsi sebagai ujung tombak penyediaan dukungan teknis dan solusi praktis bagi Kawasan Industri dalam menerapkan prinsip EIP (kawasan industri berwawasan lingkungan).
Dengan bergabung dalam EIP Resource Pool, Anda akan:
- Terlibat langsung dalam proyek efisiensi sumber daya dan simbiosis industri;
- Memperoleh akses ke pelatihan dan pengembangan kapasitas yang terarah;
- Memperluas jejaring profesional dan peluang kerja sama di sektor industri berkelanjutan.

Workshop on Industrial Synergy in Greenland International Industrial City

Training of Trainers Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production

On 27-28 February 2025, ICPC, in collaboration with IBCSD, conducted an event titled Training of Trainers Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production. This event aims to enhance the capacity of professionals and industry practitioners in analyzing resource efficiency, promote effective RECP implementation through training, and build a community of RECP experts to share experiences and strengthen collaboration for environmental sustainability.

On the first day, Mr. Salil Dutt, the Chief Technical Adviser of UNIDO, led the training. The session introduced the concepts, motivation, commitment, and key indicators of Resource-Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP). Participants also delved into the RECP assessment process, including Initial and Detailed Assessments and the methodologies for implementing RECP effectively.

On the second day, the training was led by Mrs. Mariati Abdulkadir, an RECP expert from ICPC. The session began with a review of the key topics covered on the first day, followed by an in-depth discussion on RECP feasibility studies and RECP management. Participants also engaged in case study analyses and discussions to deepen their understanding of practical RECP implementation.

Workshop on National Framework and National Standard for EIP in Indonesia

On Tuesday, 3rd December 2024, ICPC attended the Workshop on National Framework and National Standard for Eco-Industrial Park in Indonesia. UNIDO and the Indonesia Ministry of Industry held this workshop.

This workshop aims to present the national framework and national standards of Eco-Industrial Park from the GEIPP countries, which include Colombia, Vietnam, and Indonesia, to discuss the challenges associated with the development and adherence to the national framework for Eco-Industrial Parks within Colombia, Vietnam, and Indonesia, and to obtain recommendations or inputs for the National Framework for Indonesia.

National Dialogue: Accelerating Green Economic Transformation

On 3rd December 2024, ICPC participated in the National Dialogue on Accelerating Green Economic Transformation. This event was held by Kementrian PPN Bappenas and UN-PAGE.

The event aims to raise public awareness of the Green and Circular Economy in Indonesia through the results of the PAGE Project, explore policies and financing for the green transition, and review the contribution of the Climate Promise Project in climate-resilient development and NDC implementation while promoting the integration of climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies in key sectors.

ICPC received an award certificate as a stakeholder in the PAGE phase 1 program, where ICPC conducted a Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production (RECP) study in the iron steel and fertilizer industries.

Workshop in Eco-Industrial Park Implementation: Circular Economy

On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, ICPC attend the Workshop in Eco-Industrial Park Implementation: Circular Economy. UNIDO and the Indonesia Ministry of Industry held this workshop. This workshop's presenters were BAPPENAS, who presented the introduction and regulation of the circular economy, and ECADIN, who presented the implementation of the circular economy in industrial parks, case studies, and benefits of the circular economy.

This workshop discusses how to implement a circular economy in industrial parks, including development, an increased understanding of the circular economy, and identifying opportunities for implementing the circular economy in industrial ones. This workshop also encourages cooperation between tenants and industrial zone management in implementing a circular economy.

Discussion on Green Jobs in the Manufacturing Industry

On Monday, October 21, 2024, the Indonesia Ministry of Industry discussed Green Jobs in the Manufacturing Industry. This discussion aims to prepare a green workforce (green jobs) with competencies that support our efforts to achieve a green economy. Implementing green jobs involves three main strategies: Building an Ecosystem for Green Job Development, Enhancing Human Resource Readiness for the Green Job Market, and Strengthening the Role of the Private Sector.

Additionally, the Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production (RECP) program is crucial in developing green jobs in Indonesia. This includes aspects such as industrial waste management symbiosis and gathering recommendations and commitments for human resources development in environmental impact management in industrial areas.

Indonesia Clean Production Center was invited to this event as the implementer of Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production (RECP) in industrial parks, where RECP is one of the key indicators that can contribute to the success of the Green Jobs program.

PeSTA 2024: Circular Economy Talkshow

The 2024 Environmental and Forestry Standards Week (PeSTA) was successfully held at the Manggala Wanabakti Building on September 12th, 2024, presenting various in-depth discussions on implementing a circular economy in Indonesia. Indonesia Cleaner Production Center was one of the consultants invited to participate in the talk show that focused on concrete steps toward a circular economy.

Indonesia Cleaner Production Center also supports the progress of a circular economy in Indonesia through the Resource Efficiency & Cleaner Production (RECP) approach. Through this initiative, ICPC provides technical assistance in optimizing the use of natural resources, reducing processing waste, and increasing efficiency in the production process, which can ultimately strengthen the competitiveness of the national industry in an increasingly sustainable global market.
