You know that woman who has held your hand through the hard seasons?

The one who picks up the phone at the wrong hour without complaint?

The one who pours so much of herself into everyone around her that she has almost forgotten there is something left to pour back in?

There is a high chance you are that woman.
And that you also have a woman like that in your life.

The one who feels like family even though she is not.

In Indonesian, there is a word for that, SAUDARA.

It means the people who show up for you. The ones who choose you, over and over, without making a thing of it.

🌸This November we are hosting a women’s only retreat in Ubud.

For the women navigating change.

The ones whose nervous systems have been running on empty for too long.

The ones who are ready to pause and reconnect with themselves.

We have got you.
Ubud has got you.

šŸ’žBut what if you did not go alone this time?

What if this was the thing you did together, the pause you have both been waiting for without quite saying it out loud?

šŸ˜Bring your friend.
Bring your sister.
Your mother.

That woman in your life who keeps saying she is fine even though she isn’t.

šŸ‘‰Book a shared room for A Pause in the Season and you both receive $150 off with code SAUDARA.

Prefer your own rooms but want to come together? Reach out and we will make it work.

šŸ”„This offer is available until 30 June 2026.

Comment PAUSE and we will send you all the details.

Eight months in Bali and I am still finding new ways this island is quietly teaching me something.

Tri Hita Karana is the reason certain spaces here feel completely different from anywhere else.

The reason you can walk into a place and feel something settle in your body before you have even sat down.

The reason this island, despite everything mass tourism has thrown at it, still has something intact that a lot of places have lost.

The places that take it seriously are the ones I keep returning to.

And the ones I keep recommending.

Two of them are listed here and

What would your life or your work look like if you ran it through these three lenses?

After years of planning retreats and going on them myself, I can tell you that what most women need to bring to a retreat cannot be folded or zipped or tracked.

It’s the willingness to eat something they haven’t tasted before and enjoy it.

To sit without filling the silence.

To stop optimising for six days and see what’s underneath all that effort.

The logistics of a retreat I can handle.

That part is my job.

But the permission to actually arrive, to be present rather than productive, to let the experience do what it’s designed to do, that part only you can pack.

I have met this woman everywhere I have been.

In Bali, in Italy, in airport lounges and yoga studios and quiet corners of restaurants.

She is competent and caring and depleted.

She has been strong for so long that nobody around her thinks to ask if she is okay.

And she has been doing it so well for so long that she has stopped asking herself.

We built A Pause in the Season because I am her too.
And so is Dhara.

We know what it feels like to carry things in silence and only understand years later what it cost you.

And because we have seen, over and over again, what happens when women are finally given somewhere to put it all down.

Something shifts.

Six days in Ubud, Bali.

Restorative yoga, breathwork, sound healing, healthy nurturing food, and the kind of conversations that only happen when women are encouraged to be fully honest with each other.

If you read this letter and felt it was written for you, it was.

I have spent 13 years in the yoga and wellness space and the pattern I keep seeing does not get easier to watch.

Most yoga teachers are not doing this full time.

They have another job, often one they don’t love, that exists purely to subsidise the work they actually care about.

And the industry that profits from their dedication has very little to say about that.

Imagine a wellness world where the most gifted teachers could do this as their only job.

Where they didn’t have to ration their energy between two careers or turn down opportunities because they couldn’t afford to.

Charging well, pricing retreats properly, building a career that supports your life alongside the work you love: none of that makes you less of a teacher. It makes you one who will still be here in ten years.

I am working on something specifically for yoga and wellness teachers who are done making the finances work against themselves.

You arrive holding everything together, the way you always do.

And then something shifts.

It might be in circle, when a woman across the room describes — in the exact words you never found — something you thought was yours alone.

It might be in a restorative session when your body finally exhales in a way it hasn’t in months.

It might be over dinner, in a conversation that goes somewhere real before the food arrives.

Women-only spaces do something that’s hard to explain.

Swipe through for the reasons I keep coming back to them.
