How is your day? Today, we would be glad to share you about DREaM Spirit! What's that? Getting curious?

DREAM is a place for knowledgeable and highly competent students from around the world to gather and discuss relevant important issues related to the world community. Moreover, through DREaM, Universitas Gadjah Mada intends to introduce the concept of mutual understanding and community empowerment in Indonesia as a democratic country with the largest Muslim community in the world. Apart from being an academic, culture and tourism event, DREAM is a way for participants to network and expand mutual friendship of the youth, which is the face of the future.

Starting from Universitas Gadjah Mada’s commitment to participate in introducing cultural diversity and education in Indonesia, UGM together with the Office of International Affairs since 2009 has made the program particularly for international students who wants to know more about Indonesia, both from a cultural and educational aspect.

Since it was first successfully held in 2009, DREaM became an annual event much anticipated by partner universities. DREaM not only introduces Indonesian culture, but also various strategic themes in each year, such as matters on food, humanitarian and marine. DREAM offers a different concept of summer program, in which students have the knowledge not only of theoretical teaching carried out in the classroom, but students are also given the opportunity to directly participate in the field. For two weeks, students will be involved in various activities such as public lectures, community work, internship programs and excursions.

Yogyakarta is the only city in Indonesia that is still governed by pre-colonial monarchy, the Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono. Yogyakarta arguably is the epicenter of Javanese identity and tradition. A smallish university town, Yogyakarta is a delightful mixture of past, present and the future. It is a place where tradition and modern dynamics are going on together. You can still enjoy the traditional taste of Yogyakarta while walking around the city center.

Have you register yourself to join DREaM this year? Register now for early bird package and don't miss out on early bird prices! It costs USD725 for UGM Partner University’s Students and USD825 for International Students.
