A huge thank you to Una & Padraig Fahy for welcoming Pulse Club and giving us such a fantastic insight into their business, their journey and – maybe most importantly – how well they work together! 😄

And the food! 🤤 A massive thank you to Maura Rynne for the absolutely delicious curry, salads and breads, all showcasing the fantastic produce from the farm. 🥕🥬

Plenty of great advice shared too, but one line definitely stuck with us:

👉 “The conversation is never over – keep knocking on the door.”

From one acre to 40 acres – the story behind Beechlawn Organic Farm

Our next Pulse Club is taking us behind the scenes at Beechlawn Organic Farm, and there’s quite a story to hear!

Padraig & Una Fahy established Beechlawn in 2002, starting with just one acre. Certified organic since 2003, the business has grown from a box scheme and local markets, to supplying shops and supermarkets – and today operates 40 acres of field-scale organic vegetables, employs 18 people and supplies businesses across the country.

But the journey behind the business is every bit as interesting as the numbers!

Padraig & Una actually crossed paths at the Glen of the Downs tree protest in 1997, before properly meeting while studying at organic college in 1998. Neither came from the obvious background for running an organic farm – both had previously studied Arts in Maynooth – but the different skills and experiences they picked up along the way ultimately helped shape the business they run today.

On Wednesday 30th September, they'll be opening the farm to Pulse Club and sharing some of that journey with us.

🌱 See the farm. Hear their story. Make connections.
