New Government scheme allowing €9,000 for Solar PV and battery.

Are you in receipt of any of the following DSP welfare payments?

Fuel Allowance as part of the National Fuel Scheme

Job Seekers Allowance for over six months and have child under seven years of age.

Working Family Payment.

One-Parent Family Payment.

Domiciliary Care Allowance.

Carers Allowance and live with the person you are caring for.

Disability Allowance for over six months and have a child under seven years of age.

If you answered YES to one or more of the above DSP welfare payments, you are eligible to apply for Higher Grant amount.

A cheap system with a 5 year warranty would be almost covered 100% by the grant essentially getting a free system of 9 x 450w panels, if you spend a little yourself you could get a premium system with 30 year warranty on panels and 15 year warranty on the inverter and battery.

We are delighted to hear the government have extended and increased the grant for homes to €2,400 connected to the ESB Network prior to Dec 31st 2024.
So if your home previously didn't qualify for the grant as it was built after 2021 then that's great news..
The additional €600 towards battery storage is also very welcome.

We are currently doing the Garo GEV7.4L tethered charger for €1,150 pre grant or the Hypervolt premium tethered charger with a 7.5m lead for €1,300 pre grant.
Zappis' are also available at €1,300 pre grant.
That's NET €850 for the Garo
or
€1,000 for the Hypervolt or Zappi.

We had a brilliant day at the Solar & Storage Show last Thursday in Naas.
Great to catch up with our favourite wholesaler, Midsummer Renewables Ltd, and to have some exciting conversations with EcoFlow about what’s coming next for the EcoFlow PowerOcean System — including expanded battery storage options and the 2nd generation of PowerInsight.
We also checked out new flat roof mounting solutions from K2 Systems GmbH and had a great chat with our preferred flashing experts, Roof Solutions.
The Hypervolt team were onsite showcasing their chargers (no convincing needed there!), and AIKO shared that 480W panels will be landing in the Irish market within weeks.
It was also fantastic to see new technology in action — including sodium battery innovation from Eleven.
All in all, a great show packed with innovation, good conversations, and plenty to look forward to in the months ahead.
