We knew the lithographs would do well. These ultra rare printing plates were made in Celbridge by the late Tony Bradfield and represent a golden era in Irish entertainment and advertising.
Lot 73 was the undoubted star of last night's show, bringing the hammer down at €2600, smashing past its estimate of €500-€800.
Well done to all of yesterdays winning bidders. We're back online from 2pm this afternoon with the second half of The October Collectables & Advertising Sale.

Appearing in the October Collectables and Advertising Sale, these original printing plates offer a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes of Ireland’s entertainment and advertising history, featuring some very familiar names and faces, from U2 and The Corrs to Christy Moore, Dermot Morgan, Clannad, Daniel O’Donnell and more.
Produced at the Celbridge facilities of the late Tony Bradfield, these weren’t pieces made to be collected or displayed. They were working tools of the printing trade, used in the production of the posters and promotional material that once advertised some of Ireland’s best-known performers.
The fact that they survived at all makes them pretty special, and some are believed to be particularly rare surviving examples.
Join us on Tuesday October 21st and Wednesday October 22nd, live online from 2pm, for these and a whole host of other unique, rare and collectable lots.
