We are seeking a field technician to join the Water Lab team Celbridge Kildare. We are an accredited modern testing laboratory. We are looking for an enthusiastic new staff member to join an expanding business.

Job description:
• Full or part time role available
• Collection of water/wastewater samples at client sites
• Logging of samples into LIMS
• Sample preservation
• Liaising with and preparing samples for subcontractor laboratory
• Preparing testing kits
• Maintaining and operating site equipment such as pH meter, dissolved oxygen meter, dip
• Maintaining stock of sampling consumables
• Maintaining and operating site equipment such as flow meters, rain gauges, composite samplers, batteries
• Carrying out on site analysis e.g. temperature, pH
• Disposal of out of date samples
• Site chlorination’s
• Administration, chain-of-custody forms, training, report writing
• Adhere to quality system requirements
Requirements:
• Full clean drivers licence
• Good customer service skills
• You will be required to work with wastewater samples
Desirable but not essential:
• Safe Pass
• Confined space training
• LIMS experience
• Science qualification

The position is an ideal gateway into the enviromental/science sector. A versatile person is required to work within a small team, where you will be exposed to multiple aspects of the industry.

The job requires a full clean drivers licence and an ability to work on your own initiative.
Science degree desireable.
