14/10/2019

The 10th annual “Mayo Ideas Week” took place from 23rd to 28th September 2019. Co-ordinated by WestBIC, Mayo Ideas Week has become a significant event on the business calendar in Co. Mayo. Over 1300 attendees attended 15 events across Co. Mayo. The theme this year was ‘Building Resilience’, which is very appropriate in these challenging pre-Brexit times. ADSA participant, Fergal O’Connor of Buymedia was one of the speakers at the kick-off event “SMEs Innovating for Growth” which was hosted by Enterprise Ireland and held in Claremorris. Fergal spoke about how Buymedia, their intelligent media buying platform, can help SMEs increase sales by improving their advertising planning, purchasing, management and monitoring across all media traditional and digital. Other events held during the week covered topics such as “Digital Tech & Future Media”, “Sourcing Angel Investment to Scale”, “Building a Successful Content Marketing Strategy” and “Building Your Brand — Storytelling, Immersive Technology and Communication”. Mayo Ideas Week is very much a collaborative initiative, with more than 40 organisations and agencies co-hosting events over the years.
