🙌We are very proud to have successfully reached the official completion of our project.

Over 26 months, we have achieved the following:
- Engaged 51 educators in the training,
- Developed 13 Social Innovation Projects that were carried out by 176 students,
- Created 40 inclusive activities available in the Activity Bank
- Organised 5 events in all countries to present the project and its results, including a
conference in Cyprus which gathered over 140 participants.

👥We were able to see the direct impact our framework and activities had, and witness the wonderful job that all educators did, across all countries.

From our SIE4P.Inc project an inspiring story from the partner at Scoala Numarul 9 in Bucharest and their social innovation project called: "A Smile for Everyone"! 😊🍎

Located in one of the poorest sectors of Bucharest, the students recognized the urgent financial struggles of their peers and took action. They spoke to their classmates, identified their needs, and decided to make a difference by fundraising to buy food for those in need.

But they didn't stop there! Their efforts extended beyond the school walls, attracting support from local businesses and setting a powerful example for the community.
10 students together with 2 teachers decided to raise as much money as possible to buy and donate food to colleagues with exceptional situations.

This initiative not only provided immediate relief but also mobilized the community to come together and support each other.
Together, we are making a difference, one smile at a time. 🌟💪

Sharing news from our SIE4P.Inc project and the Romanian team at Scoala Numarul 9 who has created the social innovation project "First Aid"! 🚑📚

Facing a pressing issue of medical emergencies in classrooms, the students and staff took action to ensure every classroom has a first aid kit. With the guidance of school medical personnel, they learned essential first aid skills, identified funding sources, and garnered support from the local community.

The goal? By the end of the next school year, every class will have its own first aid kit, and maintaining these kits will be an ongoing effort. This initiative not only solves a critical problem but also empowers students with practical medical self-care skills. 🩹✨

A huge thank you to the families and community members who supported this project. We've learned that collaboration makes us stronger and that trusting and empowering our AEN students leads to amazing results! 👏🏼🎉

Sharing exciting News from our SIE4P.Inc project🌟

We are thrilled to announce that our research paper as part of the SIE4P.Inc project, presented at the prestigious EDULEARN24 Conference, has been officially included in the conference's proceedings! 🎉

Our research explored the transference of the Social Innovation Education (SIE) model into special – already successfully applied in mainstream education – into special education systems across five European countries: France, Greece, Ireland, Cyprus, and Romania. Key findings of our research revealed a critical need for educational programs that enhance social and civic competences in students with Additional Educational Needs (AEN), enabling them to co-create social innovation actions alongside community members. Additionally, our study highlighted the lack of training opportunities and resources for educators to apply inclusive and socially transformative practices in formal and non-formal educational settings.
We are excited about the potential of the SIE4P.Inc framework to inspire and support educators in creating participatory learning environments where students with AEN can actively contribute to social change. Together, we can build more inclusive, democratic, and sustainable communities. 🌍🤝
