Let's start to talk about biodiversity … And take it from there

To give nature a decent chance (who wants to live in a concrete wasteland), we are proposing a new
GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE OBJECTIVE:
"To develop a major new biodiversity restoration project centred on Skibbereen Marsh (including areas: SK GR-04 to 10) to provide wetland and other biodiversity enhancements to create a new nationally significant nature-rich area that

a) doesn’t compromise the flood alleviation function of these areas,
b) makes biodiversity highly accessible to people (residents of Skibbereen and visitors),
c) is promoted as attractive valuable addition to the town centre and communities around it, and
d) is an exemplar of a well-managed urban biodiversity rich area"

To discuss this idea, and other proposals for more biodiversity in the town (and other possible submissions to the Draft Cork County Development Plan 2021) come to the Zoom meeting.
