Over The Line is a ceramic and fine art studios in Ballyvolane, Cork It is run by a collective of 14 artists and is an independent non-profit organization.

Who We Are: Over The Line Studios is a recently opened purpose built ceramic and fine art studios situated on the Ballyvolane Road, Cork. Our aim is to provide a platform to promote, develop and support up and coming artists, as well as to encourage the development and accessibility of the arts within the local community.

Studios and associate memberships available at Over the Line! We are a fine art, ceramics and design studio just outside Cork City.

Facilities include:
24 hr access, free parking, 3 electric kilns, slabroller, large workshop/class space and wifi.
Memberships available:
full studio 200 per month
shared studio 120 per month
associate membership 70 per month

We are super excited to be back in action after the last few months of lockdown and delighted to announce that we have places available to new members. Over the Line Studios is a ceramic and fine art studios with a dynamic community of artists, designers and makers. Our facilities include:
-workshop/class room
-project/largescale work space
-photography area
-electric and gas kilns
-kitchen
-off street parking
-24hr access
We are now accepting applications from artists in need of workspace, and have a number of options available:
Full Studio (12ft x 8ft plus 13ft x 8ft storage)
Half Studio (12ft x 4ft plus 13ft x 4ft storage)
Associate Membership (3ft x 7ft storage with access to shared workspace and facilities)

We are currently accepting applications for studios. We are looking for professional artists, ceramicists and designers in need of workspace.
Facilities include 24hr access, free off street parking, 2 electric kilns, gas kiln, kitchen, wifi and central heating.
Studios Available:
Full Space: 8x12ft plus storage: 200e per month
Half Space: 4x12ft plus storage: 120e per month
Associate: storage and access to shared workspace: 55 per month.

Better photos of your products for social media

This is a quick overview about some of the things you will learn in this workshop.

-Workflow: I will share how I approach any products that arrive at my studio, step by step. You will receive a video before the course that will help you decide what products to bring, why, what other props you may need, and it will teach you a process to follow going forward.

- Backdrops: I will show you how to create your own personalised backdrops in less than 5 minutes.

- You will learn how to use window light, composition, some pro tips and tricks, all applied to flatlays.

- Lightbox: You will have the opportunity to photograph your product in a lightbox. Always good to try equipment before committing to purchasing.

- Using a free editing phone app, we will learn basic editing skills that will make your images PoP!

My goal is for you to leave inspired and with a set of skills you can practise and apply when taking photos of your products, all with a hands on approach. Learning by doing.

We are so blessed to have this space, and even more so with the talented super sound humans that fill it.
To think this time 4 years ago we were turning it from an abandonned unused carpentry workshop into fully functioning art studios, not really sure what we were doing or whether or not it would work. We only knew that we were finished college and needed somewhere to go fast!
But one thing we really did want and hoped to recreate, was what we experienced in the studios at art college; a sense of community, support and craic. And how lucky we have been to get such sound heads through our doors to help us achieve that!
We are delighted to be apart of and have the opportunity to share this gem of a community and space with anyone who fancies calling in. Our open days this week are Wed and Thurs 11-8, there will be work on display, tea and biscuits, tunes, a pottery demo or two and maybe even a bit of craic 😊

As part of Cork Craft Month we are delighted to announce 2 open studio days next week; Wed 21st and Thurs 22nd Aug. All are welcome to come for a nose, meet the makers and see where and how its all made. There will be tea and biscuits too 😊
