⚡️ Energy prices are rising again.

Bord Gáis Energy has announced increases to both electricity and gas prices from 9 October, with the typical electricity customer expected to see their annual bill increase by around €177.

With energy costs continuing to rise, generating more of your own electricity through solar can help reduce your reliance on the grid and give you greater control over your energy bills.

December 2025: we fitted 10kW of solar panels and a Sigenergy 10kW battery on a home in Co. Limerick.

This week the owner got back in touch — he wanted to show us his Electric Ireland bills and share the impact the solar panels have had on his bill.

Two in a row, both in credit. Swipe across and read them yourself.

In his own words:

“I knew they’d make a difference, but the impact has been above and beyond what I expected. I’m extremely happy with my SolarPath installation — I’ve already recommended them to friends and family, and I’ll keep doing so.”

Eight months on and still telling people. That’s the part we’re proudest of.

Agricultural Solar Installation | Midleton, Co. Cork ☀️

Farms never stop — milking, drying, refrigeration, machinery — and energy bills climb with every season. So when this Midleton farmer came to us, the goal was simple: take control of those running costs and stop being at the mercy of the grid.

The result is a system sized for real farm demand, with enough battery storage to keep the essentials running long after the sun goes down. Cleaner energy, lower overheads, and a setup that pays for itself while it works.

This is what the switch to solar looks like when it’s done right — quietly getting on with the job, day after day.

Thinking about solar for your own farm or business? Drop us a message — we’ll talk you through what’s possible.

☀️ Meet one of our Cork families — six people running their whole home on sunshine.

They’ve just installed an EV charger, so the family car (~1,000 km a month) now charges straight from their own solar and battery. That same mileage in a diesel would cost roughly €104 a month at today’s €1.73/litre — about €1,250 a year, before tax or servicing.

Add in all their hot water running on electric (no gas bill), and the result speaks for itself: an electricity bill of just €8.85 for two months — while actually using more power than the year before. They’re even paid for the spare energy they export back to the grid.
