We recently created a detailed 2D orthomosaic by stitching together thousands of overlapping drone images into one seamless, georeferenced map. Because the photos are captured using a nadir (straight‑down) camera angle, we can remove perspective distortion and produce a uniform‑scale image that’s perfect for accurate distance, area, and volume measurements.
To ensure survey‑grade accuracy, we used our DJI Enterprise drones along with Trimble GNSS rovers to set precise Ground Control Points. These GCPs tie the entire map back to real‑world coordinates, giving clients reliable and trustworthy data.
