Last week, a group of schoolchildren from Fews National School got to do something most adults never will, see a 5,000-year-old stone axe.
In partnership with Roadstone Ltd, we welcomed the pupils of Scoil na bhFíodh to our active excavation in Waterford. They toured the site, saw real artefacts, and got a glimpse of the people who lived in their corner of Waterford thousands of years before them.
Rubicon Director Carmelita Troy summed it up perfectly: "Bringing them out, seeing real world archaeology, and linking it up to what they're learning in the classroom."
This is what community outreach looks like and we couldn't be prouder. ❤️
