So I haven't been really maintaining this page for the last few months as I have been busy with other projects. And one of the golden rules of Internet Marketing is to stay connected to your audience. So I have broken my own golden rule but in my defense, I have been putting other things together to tie in with all this. When used right, Facebook and other social media platforms can be a very valuable tool for promoting your business. But again, consistency is the key. You need to post to all your social media platforms regularly if you really want to promote your business online. And spread your interests across different platforms. That gives it better exposure. I don't really use Twitter but I have a business Twitter account for posting stupid tweets that nobody cares about. And a Flickr account for posting images. Why? because people use Twitter and people use Flickr. Your Twitter feed can be added to your website, which is a good way to have fresh content(which Google indexes), on your website. Google doesn't index your Twitter page. Which means that most of your social media activity doesn't show up in a Google search but it does index your website so if you have a live feed from your Twitter account to your website, it has a better chance of showing up in a google search. And many websites neglect this. It's the same for your website, if you have one. A website without a blog and fresh content being added regularly is a stale website. Google will never have to reindex it if no new content goes into it. So the majority of websites out there were a waste of 1000euro for your business if it's just sitting there. I could inject a Google Analytics script into any website to track how many people are really visiting it and many would be surprised to know how many views their 1000 euro website really got. A website is worthless to your business without fresh content. Most web developers won't tell you that.
