Help shape Ireland’s first Dementia Inclusive City.
The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, Cork City Council and Age Friendly Cork City are inviting local businesses, community representatives, service providers and members of the public to take part in a public consultation event for this important initiative.
The North East Ward has been selected as the first area in Cork City in which the Dementia Inclusive City Roadmap will be implemented, with the learning informing a phased rollout across the city over the next three years.
Local businesses have a particularly important role to play. Small acts of understanding, patience and awareness—along with simple practical changes—can help people living with dementia feel more confident, independent and included within their own community.
The event will outline the vision for the initiative and invite your input on how it can be structured and delivered successfully within the North East Ward.
