What a great few days on the Di**le Peninsula! We welcomed our EU partners from the Horizon Europe ENPOWER project to our Irish pilot site and they were absolutely blown away by the place and the people.

Huge thanks to the locals who opened their doors and shared the brilliant work they ate doing:

Daniel McCarthy, manager Di gle Linen Service who is a member of the Tourism and Hospitality SEC. Showing how communitu actio. Can lead to real investments in solal PV and EVs, keeping our accommodation sector green from the laundry up.

Dinny Galvin, leading the West Kerry Dairy Farmers SEC and always pushing for the hest energy solutions for our local farmers.

Mahmood, Zara and George Hussain from Inch Beach Guesthouse who are sustainable champions since 2012 with 120kW of Solar PV, comfort upgrades and lower bills. And of course they created a beautiful local menu for our guests showcasing the best produce on the peninsula.

Our vistors were left inspired by all the work being done by the Corca Dhuibhne community who prove every day how a small community can come together to make real climate action.

They were blown away by the welcome, the local food and of course local beers. 😉

We want to wish Mahmood Hussaim & his family the best of luck at the SEAI Energy Awards on Thursday.

Mahmood has been a member of the Tourism and Hospitality Sustainable Energy Community since the start back in 2023. The family business have done huge work from air to water heat pumps to solar PV on all cottages and a ground mounted powering the b&b.

What a huge achivement and well-deserved recognition for a family-run business on the Di**le peninsula.
