Today we said farewell to our caretaker Harry, who has been part of The Mill family for almost 10 years.

Harry is officially retiring now, and hopefully enjoying some well-deserved peace and quiet! As a lovely surprise, Harry’s wife and daughter joined us to see him off properly.

Ronan said a few words to thank Harry for all his years of hard work, dedication and good humour, and we presented him with a carefully chosen hamper, a Ryanair voucher so he can escape to the sun whenever the Irish weather lets him down, an engraved pint glass with his name on it, and of course, a retirement cake.

We all enjoyed breakfast together this morning with eggs, sausages and plenty of chats and laughter. Thank you to everyone who contributed kind messages and wishes in Harry’s card, it means a lot.

Harry, thank you for everything over the years. Your humour, stories and presence will be greatly missed around The Mill. Wishing you a long, happy and relaxing retirement! ☀️🎂✈️🍻

Yesterday afternoon, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and gathered outside for a Millers BBQ. It was a fantastic opportunity to step away from our desks, enjoy some food in the sunshine, and catch up with fellow members from across the building.

One of the things that makes The Mill special is the community here. Whether it’s sharing ideas, making new connections, or simply having a chat over a burger, it’s always great to see people coming together.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such an enjoyable afternoon. We were delighted to see so many Millers taking a well-earned break and making the most of the sunshine while it lasted! 🍔☀️

What an fantastic day at our sell out Business Beyond Borders UK event on 21 May!

Business Beyond Borders UK brought together a full house of founders, leaders and partners, creating real momentum for cross-border growth.

The day kicked off with Sinead O’Riordan, Head of Partnerships , setting the stage for a day full of insight and opportunity. She was followed by Ronan Whitty, CEO of The Mill, and Owen Desmond Strategic Finance Director at Coca-Cola, who welcomed everyone and expressed their support for the local business community.

Our first keynote speaker, Ambassador Kara Owen, opened with a couple of Irish words, instantly connecting with the audience and fun fact: she’s married to a Galway man! From the very first moment, it was clear how much she genuinely wants to support Irish businesses. Her excitement for Drogheda and the surrounding area was infectious.

Ambassador Kara Owen met the team at The Mill Enterprise Hub Drogheda and then went on a tour of Drogheda town. Her talk was not only inspiring but also highly practical for any business looking to expand into the UK. She highlighted the support available, shared insights into the UK market, and celebrated the number of unicorn companies thriving there.

A big thank you to everyone who made today possible, our expert speakers Sinead O’Riordan, John O’Loughlin, Eamon Tuhami, Gerard Teahon, Jeanne Kelly, Alex Jones-Casey, Graham O’Rourke, Nikki Campbell, Jason Gaynor and a big shout-out to Coca-Cola, who are always supporting the local community and business initiatives in Drogheda.

A big shoutout to the lovely BENO Coffee & Bakery for bringing a little extra joy to the community! They are hosting a free tasting day this Saturday, 28th March.

Pop down to Ballsgrove Shopping Centre from 10am and sample some of their cinnamon buns, tastings are available until they sell out, so definitely worth getting there early!

Always great to support local, especially when it involves fresh baked goods😄
