The reason I chose as one of the charities to fundraise for the Sisterhood Supports initiative was not just because of the stellar support and career development services they provide (for free!) for women seeking to (re)enter the workforce, but because my old pal is its founder.
What a force she is. And a steadfast supporter of women. Huge thanks to her for the amazing mention of the Sisterhood Supports charity initiative on where she discussed how women in business could use the 'power hours' with our list of consultants to fundraise but also as a catalyst for change in their businesses, a chance to value their progression and invest in themselves - to accelerate their careers with a new sense of purpose and drive to succeed in business.
"The roster of consultants, experts, and mentors are world-class, and you can pick what specific area you want mentorship in."
For 10 years, she has been tirelessly promoting WorkEqual (previously known as Dress for Success) for women's economic independence and to help build an Ireland where everyone's skills and potential are recognised by a society that champions workplace equality and remuneration.
Since then, WorkEqual has evolved into a national organisation with 40 highly skilled volunteers, providing services to women across Ireland and partnering with relevant networks, agencies and employers nationwide.
Partnerships, public donations and fundraising initiatives have supported them in delivering their services to thousands of women across Ireland ♥️👏🤩💪🏻
Advocating for workplace equality and fair remuneration is an integral and urgent part of their work. Sonya Lennon and her team engage with Government and elected representatives at local, national and EU levels, policymakers, employers and civil society leaders to shape legislation, public policy, employment policy and societal attitudes to achieve gender parity in the Irish workplace.
Let's do this for our sisters in need. Book a 'Power Hour' with one of our consultants, all in aid of WorkEqual & Women's Aid
