- How often should you WASH the filters?
- How often should you REPLACE the filters?

👉 We recommend having 2 filters at home, so you swap them every month and wash the dirty filter.
👉 We typically recommends replacing the filters in their vacuum cleaners every 6 months. This timeframe ensures optimal performance and efficiency of the vacuum.

If you're looking for ways to save electricity when doing laundry, here are a few tips:

1. Opt for cold water washes as much as possible. Washing clothes in cold water can save you up to 90% of the energy used to heat water for a warm or hot cycle.

2. Wash full loads. It takes the same amount of energy to wash a full load as it does a partial one, so make sure to wait until you have a full load before starting the washing machine. Just make sure you DON'T overload it!

3. Choose the right cycle. Delicate or extra-large loads require more energy, so make sure to select the right cycle for the job to minimise energy use.

4. Unplug your washing machine. Unplugging your washing machine when it's not in use can save you energy that is lost from the machine's standby power.

Keeping your Dyson vacuum filter clean is essential for keeping your vacuum running efficiently and effectively. Follow these steps to properly wash your Dyson filter:

1. Start by removing the filter from your Dyson. To do this, turn the filter counterclockwise until it comes off.

2. Place the filter in a bowl of lukewarm water and a few drops of mild detergent and let it soak for 10 minutes.

3. Swish the filter around in the water to remove any dirt and debris.

4. Rinse the filter thoroughly with cold water and allow it to air dry completely before replacing it in your Dyson vacuum.

5. For areas with hard water, you may want to use a vinegar-water solution to help prevent mineral deposits from building up on the filter. Fill a bowl with equal parts water and white vinegar and soak the filter for 15-20 minutes. Rinse the filter thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before replacing it.

By following these steps, you can keep your Dyson filter clean and ensure that your vacuum is working properly.
