A recent study by a team of researchers from Harvard University confirms from an evolutionary perspective what we already know from many studies: physical activity is key for healthy ageing and longevity, and its importance increases with age. “Because we evolved to be active throughout our lives, our bodies need physical activity to age well.” is the key message from the paper’s lead author Daniel E. A series of studies by researchers from UPenn and UCLA found that too little free time leads to , as one would expect. However, too much free time can be detrimental for wellbeing as well because people feel less productive.
