The jumping sharks of the Atlantic 🦈

Re-sharing this incredible footage with credit to Joey and Steve’s Wild Ireland 🇮🇪 👀

The wild Atlantic off Ireland has been putting on some seriously rare shows.

After a couple of years watching and filming off the west coast, they managed to capture basking sharks breaching and showing courtship behaviour in the wild, something not often seen at all 🤯

These behaviours are still being looked into, including recent activity around Loop Head in Co. Clare, as researchers try to figure out exactly what’s going on out there.

All footage was taken from a respectful distance, just observing, not disturbing. These are wild animals doing their thing, and it stays that way ✔️

Pretty incredible stuff from the Irish coast 🌊
