Not only does this apply to people and their plans to change, it also applies to businesses.
Let's break it down simply, if you are someone who wants to change something in your life to do this you must change your actions. If you want to improve your health you need to begin focusing on your diet and fitness, if you want to improve a skill such as learning a language you need to practice more. By changing small details of your everyday routine you are changing the outcome.
HOWEVER, change takes time! Some people notice that the change is not taking action as soon as they had hoped so they give up on the idea.
This is similar to how businesses struggle to change their strategy. They want to change how they target customers or how their clients interact with them. They change something in their strategy BUT give up before the strategy has had time to harness the good results.
STRATEGY CHANGE TAKES TIME. It takes careful forecasting, tracking and implementation. For changes to work they need to be focused on, they need to replace old habits and become a long term plan.
Temporary change only brings temporary change.
Long term change brings long term change.
